Elise Reehl, M.A. (she/her/hers) ~ Doctoral Therapy Extern
From a young age, I was always interested in hearing people’s unique stories about how they became the person they are. Then, I began to lean about the field of psychology and was excited to realize I could help others process their life experiences, highlighting their strengths to achieve the goals they have set for themselves. I have personal experience with therapy, which has given me a dedicated time to reflect and find a deeper understanding of myself.
Currently, I am a third-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program at The Chicago School. I have completed clinical training at a neuropsychological private practice experience and also worked as a helpline volunteer for the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD). I am from the Chicagoland area and feel grateful to work in this community. I have experience working with adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma, eating disorders, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and autism.
My biggest hope is that I can create a space where you feel safe and supported so you can share whatever is helpful for you. I take an integrative approach, incorporating various psychological theories as each individual is one-of-a-kind and different things may help different individuals.
